Downtown Buffalo Engagement Session
I absolutely love when my clients have a vision for their engagement session and Elif and Matt did not come lacking. For this downtown Buffalo engagement session, we envisioned an old Hollywood vibe. Imagine glitz, glamour, and golden. Oh, and the itinerary for this shoot is one I will be repeating! Mark my words, it’s iconic.
See You at the Hotel Bar
Our first stop on the Tour de Downtown Buffalo was the Hyatt Regency. Who would’ve thought the Hyatt is serving old money glamour? Well, it is. The live-edge wood plus black iron is so timeless and classic, it’s the perfect backdrop for Elif and Matt. And it’ll make the best spot for their reception next July! Elif noted that she loves black and white photos (my kind of girl) so of course I had to sprinkle some into this gallery. I think we can all agree black and white photos are the definition of “old Hollywood.”
UB’s Invisible String
We had this big wide city all to ourselves. So, we got some epic street shots. Whenever I shoot in the heart of a city, I love to capture the skyscrapers as the framework. This downtown Buffalo engagement session was no exception. Elif and Matt met at the University at Buffalo, a huge part of the Buffalo community. With over 30,000 students, they still found each other. Of course, we had to commemorate the beginning of their love story showing off the city that started it all.
Meet Me in the Afterglow
If I’m downtown, I’m likely on a rooftop. Luckily, I had quite a few to choose from at this downtown Buffalo engagement session. The Hyatt Regency neighbors a photographer’s dream rooftop. We headed up to the top floor to capture Elif and Matt’s love during golden hour. For a November day, the sun was a paid actress. She showed up and showed out! We popped some champagne and cheered to forever!
Honeymoon Suite, Please!
It wouldn’t be an old Hollywood downtown Buffalo engagement session without some direct flash elevator photos. It’s such a trendy twist to a vintage vibe! And it wouldn’t me a romantic movie without a steamy elevator kiss. The Hotel at the Lafayette was a perfect destination to capture glitz, glam, and golden vibes!
