Perfect Day for a Proposal on Canandaigua Lake

Although the day didn’t appear to be the perfect day for a proposal on Canandaigua Lake, it definitely wound up being a memorable one. Connor’s head was in the right spot. He brought Sam to “meet a contractor for boathouse repairs” before a nice dinner, when in secret he was planning to propose. There was just one small issue: the weather! The day started off sunny, but skies quickly turned on the lake and soon it was pouring rain with high winds. But, Connor prevailed! He somehow got Sam to meet him on the balcony where he popped the question. Of course, she said yes!

Nothing But Clear Skies Ahead

Immediately following Sam and Connor’s proposal on Canandaigua Lake, the skies cleared and the sun came out. Nice timing, Connor! After gawking at the ring for a bit (it’s stunninggg), we headed out to the pier for some celebratory action shots. Sam was super surprised by the proposal, but little did she know, she had another shock coming: her family and friends were waiting for her at the restaurant!

Party or Proposal on Canandaigua Lake? Why Not Both?!

Connor chose a Haims family staple, Coho, to host their engagement after party. The two were greeted by parents, grandparents, high school friends, and everyone in between. Sam was ecstatic to see her mom there after she’d tried calling her multiple times to tell her the news with no answer. Mom just didn’t want to spoil your surprise, Sam!

Thank you to Sam and Connor for allowing me to capture your intimate proposal on Canandaigua Lake! I always enjoy a challenge and this weather truly gave me a run for my money. But, the rain just makes this day more memorable! Congratulations, you two & cheers to forever!
