Georgie’s garden senior session at the George Eastman Museum in Rochester, NY was an absolute dream! The mansion and gardens here are the ideal destination for timeless senior photos. Georgie was such a sweet and elegant model; she fit in perfectly! We focused on a few key locations around the George Eastman property and spoiler alert: each spot was stunning!

The flora and fauna of this garden senior session help capture and emphasize Georgie’s beauty! She came prepared with a trendy floral puff-sleeve crop top and classic white jeans. I am always preaching proper session attire and Georgie knocked it out of the park! This outfit choice shows off her youthful glow and adds a playful Gen Z flare! If you ask me, it’s giving main character energy.

If you know a bit about Rochester’s history, you know the significance of George Eastman. As a photographer, his history holds a special place in my heart. The fact that photographers are now using his home and gardens to create modern-day magic is such an amazing full-circle moment. I’ve been shooting at this location for years including seniors, couples, and weddings. I can’t wait to see what us future photographers create in the next 100 years!

Every time I imagine a garden in an architectural setting, it turns into a magical place. I think of gardens I have seen, that I believe I have seen, that I long to see, surrounded by simple walls, columns, arcades or the facades of buildings – sheltered places of great intimacy where I want to stay for a long time.
