My favorite thing about seniors is that they’re always down to try out a new photography trend. For Brad and Dylan’s cityscape senior session, we tested out a parking garage. I know we’ve all seen the trendy street photos and parking garage shots! When Brad and Dylan had this trend in mind for their senior photos, I was so down!
We had this big wide city all to ourselves, so we stopped first at Warner Castle and Sunken Garden in Rochester, NY. This is one of my favorite spots for senior sessions, engagement sessions, proposals, weddings, you name it. There’s plenty of greenery to accompany the Gothic-style stonework. It’s a perfect blend of city and suburbs.
Alicia Keys would totally understand that we couldn’t take Brad and Dylan to NYC for their cityscape senior session. But, we made Rochester work (and I think she would be proud). Brick is such a classic background for portraits and this mismatched beige blocks alongside the classic red brick is an amazing blend to keep it interesting!
After getting in some classic shots, Brad and Dylan headed down to our trendy spot: the parking garage. This location truly completed their cityscape senior session! We headed all the way to the top to get some epic photos of the boys with Rochester in the background. The height of the parking garage plus the lack of obstacles results in the best lighting! Pro tip: save the parking garage shots for sunset!
Thank you, Brad and Dylan, for making my cityscape senior session dreams come true! These two were awesome muses and were so down to try out a new photography trend. Good luck in the future, boys!
