If you’ve been in my corner of the internet from the beginning, you know Val from Sungrove Blossoms and I love a good portrait session filled with flowers and all the whimsical vibes. Well, it’s been awhile since we’ve been able to create together and after our year-long hiatus it’s time to get back to it! We had a vision for an all yellow shoot and WOW did Val nail the assignment! This yellow spring styled shoot at Gallery 48 was one-of-a-kind.
Val had the amazing idea to create flower “clouds” out of this dainty yellow flower. This trend was similarly done with baby’s breath, but the pop of yellow brought this session to life!
Olivia provided her own outfits for this styled shoot and she did not disappoint. You probably recognize Olivia from her time on the Bachelor franchise, and lucky for us she had plenty of outfits from Bachelor in Paradise that perfectly fit our brief!
We had three sets for this yellow spring styled shoot and I feel like I can’t pick a favorite! This yellow chair has been sitting in storage waiting for it’s moment to make an appearance in Gallery 48. It finally got it’s debut in the most fun styled shoot!
I absolutely LOVED working with Olivia. She’s the real deal! She was totally invested in our vision which made it even more fun to create together. She was patient, kind, and of course a beautiful model! You can tell she knows what she’s doing in front of the camera!
One of my favorite parts about having a studio is creating sessions like this in it. As a photographer, sometimes we can get stuck doing the same thing over and over. Having a fun session like this truly lights me up creatively, and being able to host it at the studio makes it even more fulfilling.
I’m so glad you made it to the end of the blog post! I hope you enjoyed scrolling this session as much as we did creating it. If you want to check out another styled shoot that features Sungrove Blossoms, check that post out here!
