The Grudev’s Rochester Maternity Session

This Rochester maternity session is one of my all time favorites! On this chilly December day, we went out to Northampton Park to take these photos. This is such a special season in Autumn and Nick’s lives!

I took Autumn and Nick’s wedding photos at the Grafton Inn in Grafton, Vermont back in September 2021. I also was able to take their engagement photos in the Adirondacks. These two are a dream to work with, and when they reached out wanting me to take their maternity photos, I was so excited!

We had to plan pretty far in advance to get this session on the calendar. Autumn and Nick live near Burlington, Vermont. We had to schedule this session for when these two would be in town! Luckily, they had plans to visit Rochester for New Year’s Eve, and I was home and ready to photograph their love.

Rain or shine

Rochester’s weather patterns are always unpredictable in December, and this December was no different. We had a lot of rain the week of this session. Rain was in the weather for the forecast of this December day! We were prepared to shoot no matter what – after all, these two made a long trip to get these photos taken. As we started walking to the spot we were going to take photos, the snow started falling! Boy, was it beautiful! I was so grateful we had no rain, because the snow definitely added some romance to this maternity session.
