This person is someone who contributes a different creative perspective, assists the main photographer capture a moment from all angles, wrangles family members together, and ensures you get every shot imaginable! Divide and Conquer
Your wedding day is a busy one (for you and I both)! A second shooter can be incredibly helpful to capture detail photos, guest’s reactions, and any additional shots while I’m busy focusing on you! They can even venture on their own to photograph behind the scenes of your future husband or wife! As a photographer team, we rely on the “divide and conquer” method to get different angles and wider or close up shots. This can be especially helpful if we are aiming for a number of photos with time constraints.
The Second Photographer: A Family Photo Hero
Family photos are some of the most cherished images by you and your guests. A lot of loved ones have been thinking about this day since you were born! Family members are super happy for you and your partner, but are often hard to round up and get ready for their glamour shots, especially when it’s time to mingle. A second photographer can get your most important family groupings together and ready to pose. Plus, they can double check and cross off groupings on your family photo list so we don’t forget any!

A second shooter wears many hats. Did you know I offer highlight videos as an add-on to the main wedding package? If booking a video add-on, a second photographer is a must! I’ll take images while the second shooter films those tear-jerking moments. Photos are great to print, frame, and hang-up. Wedding videos are the new wave for social media and sharing with loved ones who couldn’t make it. Although not all of your Facebook friends could be there for your special day, a wedding video shot by a second photographer will make them feel as if they were there!

I would recommend a second photographer to anyone. Having another set of eyes throughout the day is the ideal way to ensure every last detail is captured and every creative pose is utilized. 90% of my clients hire a second photographer and no one has regretted it!
