Marissa and Tom’s Durand Eastman Clubhouse wedding was the perfect start to my 2023 wedding season. This spring wedding was full of fresh sunlight, chirping birds, and a light drizzle. And, of course, lots of love! Marissa and Tom met on Hinge in 2020 and checked all each other’s boxes including their love for travel, live music, and great food. I met these two in 2022 for their engagement session, and let me promise you, they’re just as much fun in person as they are on paper!
Following tradition, the bride and groom got ready separately with their respective entourages. Marissa got ready at her friends house and Tom at their house. They were both accompanied by friends and family, including their dog, Groot. If you’re a Marvel fan, I’m sure you get the reference. I definitely appreciate it.
If you know me, you know rain can never kill my vibe. If anything, it gives me a chance to pull out my cute clear umbrellas! Marissa and Tom are definitely not afraid of getting a little wet; they jumped in a pool during their engagement session! I am absolutely obsessed with this black and white wide shot of Tom waiting for his bride. So classic!
Marissa and Tom had such a fun group for their Durand Eastman Clubhouse wedding. The mix of green and blue tones are the perfect blend for a springtime wedding. And can we talk about the bouquets and boutonnieres?! The florals are so stunning and fit the lush and bright vibe. We have Moonrise Floral Design to thank for that.
Although the rain tried to put a damper on this Durand Eastman Clubhouse wedding, we wouldn’t let it! We used Marissa’s veil as a shield for the rain and got some absolutely dreamy under-the-veil shots. I typically opt for these shots regardless, but it wound up making a great umbrella for the time being!
Thank god for the tent at this Durand Eastman Clubhouse wedding. It saved us from the rain! Marissa and Tom shared romantic vows (that made just about everyone in attendance cry) and a knot-tying ceremony to finalize their marriage. Rain on your wedding day is a good thing; a wet knot is harder to untie!
I needed to make a completely separate section solely to honor Marissa’s beautiful flowers. The artist, Moonrise Floral Design, absolutely nailed the spring flowers for this Durand Eastman Clubhouse wedding. The colors, floral mix, and added greenery… I AM OBSESSED!!!
After a rainy ceremony, guests headed inside the clubhouse to celebrate Marissa and Tom’s love. They danced, partied, and were married! This venue is so perfect for intimate weddings and has a perfect patio and outdoor space for cocktail hour and a beautiful indoor space for dancing and dinner. And the beach is just down the road and serves as a great option for sunset photos!
