Cindy and Mike are a real-life Disney movie if I’ve ever seen one. Their love is so pure and authentic, perfect for their romantic wedding vibe. These two got ready at their reception venue, The Wintergarden by Monroe’s. This venue is located in downtown Rochester, NY, as part of the Legacy Tower. It’s a super convenient one-stop-shop for getting ready, ceremony, and reception. It even has a separate indoor and outdoor cocktail hour spot. And take a peek at the columns in the lobby! Obsessed!
After Cindy and Mike were dressed to the nines, they headed over the the chapel! Specifically, Divinity Estate & Chapel. Their tea ceremony was such a special and unique touch to their romantic wedding ceremony. And of course, the ceremony wouldn’t be complete without their tiny family members: Rupert and Gustav! We all know I’m weak when it comes to bulldogs!
Following the ceremony, the I Do Crew headed over to the George Eastman Museum for some epic group shots. I have dreams about the photo of the crew staggered on the front steps! The architecture here is absolutely stunning (and so were Cindy and Mike).
Once we finished up bridal party shots, I had to get some individual shots of Cindy and Mike in the garden and covered walkway! The decorative glass windows, oversized columns, intricate brick art, and overgrown greenery are a photographer’s dream for some romantic wedding shots. It’s giving Ivy by Taylor Swift.
Lorelai Gilmore is spot on, I don’t want to be right. Cindy and Mike had such an elegant reception, including an amazing cake. Their cake topper was a mix of modern and classic: a bride and groom silhouette plus Gus and Rupert. Dogs are family, too! And can we talk about these florals that matched perfectly?! Sungrove Blossoms kills it every time!
We all love a good trend: even Cindy and Mike! For sunset portraits, we headed to the roof of a local parking garage for some Rochester cityscape shots. The lighting at this height during sunset hours is unmatched. A perfect way to end their romantic wedding day.
Not to be too cheesy, but Cindy and Mike’s wedding truly changed the trajectory of both my business and my life. These two are some of the most kind-hearted and genuine clients I’ve ever had. I have loved capturing their life moments since this date, including holiday photos, birthday photos, and basically whenever I need photogenic models for an idea. They’ve also become personal friends, even when my camera is at home. If you need me and Cindy, we’ll be in Starbucks chatting away! But seriously, thank you, Cindy and Mike, for the business and friendship you’ve given me since we met. Everyone needs someone like you in their life!
