Come Rain or Come Shine, We’re Having This Spring Wedding!
Shae and Hugo may not have had the ideal spring wedding weather, but their love story sure is pretty perfect. These two met through their common interest: a career in serving our country. Although their love crosses state borders, there’s an invisible string tying Shae and Hugo together. Shae and I met before her time in the Air Force when we both waitressed at our local country club. We quickly became inseparable, so when she left to chase her dreams, our friendship went long-distance. I was so excited to hear she was engaged and even more honored to shoot her wedding day!
A First Look Into Our Future
This first look might be one of my favorites! Hugo has such a contagious smile that resonates with everyone in its presence. He lit up like a Christmas tree when he saw Shae for the first time! After some tears, hugs, and kisses, we shot some classic portraits of the happy Mr. and Mrs. to-be. Shae and Hugo are clearly so in love, they could not keep their hands off each other!
The Perfect Spring Wedding Ceremony
Surrounded by close friends and family, Shae and Hugo expressed their love in an intimate backyard ceremony. To make the day a little more special, Shae’s step-father, Tom, officiated their matrimony. Soon after an exchange of rings, and of course a kiss, Shae and Hugo were ready to party!
Life’s About Learning to Dance in the Rain
What could be more romantic than a first dance in the rain? Shae and Hugo had the most fairytale first dance surrounded by candles and a soft mist. There’s something about rain on a wedding day that makes it a bit more special. In the famous words of Alanis Morissette, isn’t it ironic?
Come In With The Rain
After guests came in with the rain, Shae and Hugo stepped out for a few more portraits before the sun set on their first day of forever. Their rain-soaked vibe gave me the inspiration for some snuggly kissing shots. Shae’s giggles set these portraits apart for me; they’re such natural partners!
