Boudoir Session at Gallery 48 Rochester

Alexa is a steamy boudoir icon.

I honestly couldn’t wait any longer to share the photos from this session; they’re kinda incredible. Can we talk about how stunning Alexa is?! Not only is she beautiful, she’s incredibly kind and an overall great human! These photos make it obvious: this is not Alexa’s first boudoir rodeo. We’ve worked together twice before (and spoiler alert: she killed those shots, too!).

Sweat? No, that’s sex appeal.

My favorite thing about Alexa is her down-for-anything attitude. I always call this girl when I have a new idea! For this session, I wanted to utilize a technique I saw on Pinterest where water is spritzed on the model to give a “sweaty” and sexy look. It might go without saying, but this technique is best used for boudoir sessions; maybe avoid during professional headshots… LOL. Next time you’re taking some at-home seductive photos, try it out! Then, you’ll be ready for your next boudoir session!

For a boudoir session, lingerie is not a requirement.

I know what you’re thinking: whaaat, lingerie isn’t a requirement?! Nope! Although most people associate the word “boudoir” with little to no clothing, it’s actually French for “a woman’s bedroom.” I don’t know about you all, but most of the time I’m in my bedroom wearing the complete opposite: a matching sweatsuit! For this session, Alexa and I played around with a plain white tee and a working-woman’s oversized blazer. Both were a huge hit! Even with a more conservative approach, she still looks hot. So, if the idea of being nearly naked in your boudoir session is scary, try something you feel comfortable in! No matter what you choose, I promise you’re still a 10.
